Adults

Adults with 22q11 can and do live very fulfilling lives, particularly with the support of their friends, family and wider 22q11 community.  Many attend higher education, or have full-time jobs. Some live independently, and use private or public transport on a daily basis. Others may need ongoing support and guidance throughout their lives, particularly with regard to their mental and physical health.

The wide range of symptoms of 22q11 mean that no two people will have the same experience. As a parent, you will be exploring your child’s future alongside them, encouraging them to reach their full potential as vibrant adults with much to contribute to the world.

We can help you in this, with our shared experience and in particular, our adult supports, including the YEEP group, social media networks and range of social outings and get-togethers.

You’re never too late to join our growing community – you can reach out to us anytime.
